WHile doing my scientific research for this community, I discovered far too many cereals that simply COULD NOT be ignored or skipped over. And so our Cereal Polls for this community will be increased from 3 polls to 4. Here is pool number 3 which I simply call "On The Shoulders of Giants". These are the PILLARS of Sugary Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. These are the ones that everyone knows and they really do deserve a special treatment... a poll that sets them apart from all the other cereals.

Vote for as many as you experienced, or as many as you actually enjoyed, or the ones you still eat today... just vote for all your favorites! And if you want to see a commercial from the 80's of each one, feel free to click on the individual names of the cereals to link over to YouTube and watch :)

Poll #2 in our special series of Breakfast Cereal polls! This time around we examine the "Healthy" cereals. Vote for all the ones that you ate with any degree of regularity, and remember; we're doing this for SCIENCE!

Oh, and you can as with ALL our polls, click on the poll entry to see a video of the thing you're voting for :)

Since LJ limits our polls to just 15 options per survey, I've decided to split the Breakfast Cereal Poll in to three different polls for the three major types of breakfast cereal you may have eaten. First up is this one, "TV, Movies & Toys". This is for all the cereals that were just another cog in the great be marketing machine for various products. If you doubt the existence of any of these cereals or just need to jog your memory, don't forget that you can click on the name in order to see the commercial for that particular cereal :)

Our next cereal poll, btw, will be "Healthy Cereal" - Those cereals that tried to market themselves as a healthy alternative with "less sugar" and "More vitamins". And then after that, the third cereal poll, "Sugary Cereals".

It's widely accepted that sugary cereal is the king of Saturday Morning Breakfast, sure... and we'll be getting to a poll about your favorite 80's Breakfast Cereal somewhere down the line... but not everybody ate cereal! For instance my friend, Greg, always had two toaster waffles with raisins in the holes. Kevin had Pop Tarts. And Amber had Hippie Parents so she always had either Granola or an actual "Well Balanced Breakfast" (I loved getting to sleep over at Amber's house). And even I myself was known to have an English Muffin with cheese on top every once in a while :) So this has got me thinking... Cereal has always been considered king, but what if it's actually something else?

Let's make this official. Let's use SCIENCE and DATA to determine once and for all what the KING of Saturday Morning Breakfasts should actually be shall we? Vote for whatever you actually at at breakfast, check all that apply and if I've missed anything feel free to mention it in the comments :)

According to our polls so far, it seems that EVERYBODY loves The Smurfs (Your mileage may vary, no purchase necessary, see store for details). So in the name of SCIENCE and in the name of HISTORICAL ACCURACY, please vote for which season/plot development is your favorite. This will have an effect on our September 3rd Watch-along, so vote wisely!
