I'm saddened to have to admit my shame but I don't think I've seen a full episode of the Smurfs. I've caught snippets as an adult but sadly, I've never seen an episode from start to finish. :(

My favourite thing about the Smurfs was Paul Winchell's voicing of Gargamel. He was such an ineffective and bungling villain, and somehow Winchell made him all the more lovable.

Paul Winchell was one of my favorite voice actors. He did such a great job on that role and so many others. ^_^

That was such a hard poll... I kept going back and forth since I love them all!! :D I cant wait to see the new movie either... I'm thinking it may get my kiddos into the series!! :D

We just saw the movie last night... My wife and I were embarrassed for how bad it was, but my daughter (the target demographis at age 5 I guess) loved it and is now finally wanting to watch my collection of Smurf VHS tapes :)

So yeah, I've got mixed feelings about the movie :/ It's got good parts to it and it has TERRIBLE parts to it. Worth a Matinee or if you have one of those "All shows $2" theaters that shows movies the week before they hit DVD? TOTALLY worth it :)

sounds like that debacle of a Garfield movie... I abhor that movie and its equally bad sequel but my kids loved them and it got them hooked on the Garfield cartoons!! My youngest watched a smurfs episode on boomerang but the only thing he seemed to like was Azreal... he kept pointing and saying kitty!! LOL Thanks for the heads up on the movie anyways!! :D
