This is the opening theme song for the cartoon "Fonz And The Happy Days Gang" from 1981. For those of you unfamilliar with this cartoon, let me just say that I *LOVED* this show, and yes I know how terrible it is. But it had everything that Little Captain Slinky loved! Time Travel! The 50's! Marketable crossover prime-time characters! And best of all, the only cartoon sidekick I've ever despised more than Scrappy-Doo... MISTER COOL! IN THE NEWS

Oddly, "In The News" was one of my favorite parts of Saturday Morning in the 80's. Not because I enjoyed the news items or anything, but because I then knew that I had up to 5 minutes to go potty, get a fresh bowl of cereal and grab my Legos before the cartoons started up again. Like, if Saturday Morning in the 80's were a classic rock radio station and I were a DJ? "In The News" would be Don McLean's "American Pie" or Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven".
