IN THE NEWS

Oddly, "In The News" was one of my favorite parts of Saturday Morning in the 80's. Not because I enjoyed the news items or anything, but because I then knew that I had up to 5 minutes to go potty, get a fresh bowl of cereal and grab my Legos before the cartoons started up again. Like, if Saturday Morning in the 80's were a classic rock radio station and I were a DJ? "In The News" would be Don McLean's "American Pie" or Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven".

Oh man, I'd forgotten about those entirely! I was still pretty young when they stopped doing them. Definitely a 70's rollover into the 80's, but when did that stop?
