Garfield & Friends was an excellently written and produced cartoon, higher in quality than most kids could ever really notice. I remember switching channels whenever the U.S. Acres (aka "Orson's Farm") segments came on, but now that I've seen the cartoon in my adult life I know that they're every bit as good as the Garfield parts. I even derived my own personal attitude from one of their quotes! There are only two kinds of problems in life; those you can do something about and those you can't. If it's something you CAN do something about, don't worry because you know how to handle it and if it's something you CAN'T do something about don't worry because there's nothing you can do about it!

Any thoughts on this cartoon? Leave them in the comments below! And if you haven't done so already, you may want to go and vote for it in our Best Of 1988/1989 Poll!

I hate to admit it but my favorite part about that show happened in the 90s when the theme song changed to "We're ready to party". It was rather catchy and I catch myself singing it whenever there is a party involved. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-N_j18piqkU

The show itself wasn't bad but...I could never get over the fact that Peter Vankman was Garfield.
Fun info:
Lorenzo Music played the tv voices of Peter Venkman and Garfield while Billy Murray played the movie versions. :)
