A special nod to Dynomutt The Dog Wonder, who was the first of the 1970's Legends to fall oout of circulation in the 1980's. Although new episodes stopped production in the late 1970's, it was in the year 1980 that Dynomutt had his final run on network Saturday Morning TV as part of NBC's "Godzilla / Dynomutt Hour". It was the beginning of a huge trend; package two or more 1970's re-runs together and sell it to the kids as something that might be new but was really just re-runs.
So here's to you, Dynomutt... thanks for being a part of our 80's Saturday Morning Experience!
Leave your Dynomutt comments, stories and memories here to share with the rest of the group, and if Dynomutt is one of your favorites then don't forget to go vote for him in our Best of 1980 Poll!

(in the 90's) they made an appearance on there too! I found a link for it - http://www.peteava.ro/id-587003-dexter-s-lab-2x38-dyno-might-labretto

Date: 2011-08-03 10:00 pm (UTC)1) USA Network was my secret reason, but I told my parents that it was REALLY so i could enjoy PBS and A&E :)
2) I loved any and all cross-over cartoons... they further blurred the already dangerously razor-thin line between fantasy and reality for me :)
3) Dexter's Laboratory was one of the cartoons that slipped past me... right in that time frame of moving out of my parents house and not being able to afford my own cable TV combined with working two minimum-wage jobs :(
4) I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF PETEAVA.RO BEFORE!!! Thank you so much for sharing, it looks like a good site!
