I dunno about you guys, but I had such a great time this morning watching my childhood all over again. Thanks to aurora77 and captain_slinky for putting this together and to all the people who came out and chatted on IRC and re-lived the memories of a great Saturday Morning growing up. Sorry it took so long to get back to you... I'm a busy and important person, I'm sure of it and that's why :)

Secret just for you and anyone else who scans through these comments - we're shooting for the next Reenactment to be on December 3rd :)

Okay, so! The custom icon I was hoping for! If you can do Animated Icons, I'd love one (for myself) that cycles through all the "I Survived" icons you just made :)

And as far as a custom single-image icon, I'd like to have the existing icon for this community (the image of Mister T with Baby Smurf and the Hulk in it), and saying "80's Saturday Morning Historical Re-Enactment Society" in place of the existing "NBC Saturday Mornings". That one is the important one I was hoping you could do for me. Thanks :)

So, animated icon with all I Survived... and the community icon, too. Sounds good. It may take me until Saturday (I have a lot of paperwork and such do this week), but I'm shooting for by Saturday. Is this OK with you?

Thanks again for a great time! :-) It turns out that my sister-in-law and her husband watched parts of it too after I mentioned it to her, and they shared their own cartoon memories while watching. This then led to a cartoon fueled discussion at the family BBQ later that evening where we basically confused my youngest brother-in-law who wasn't born until the early 90s & had no clue about the awesomeness we were talking about.

I'm taking #12.

LOL, I know what you're talking about. My kids during Wednesday night kids church have no idea what I mean when I talk about the Dozers or singing the Elephant Song (I think that was more 90s than 80s, but still very much my childhood). Taught them all how to sing it, too. :D It's cool to share all these great memories, untainted by some of the tween stuff going on now. Kids can't be kids. They have to be like iCarly or whatever the crap is on now. No offense to those who actually watch that stuff.

Oh I know, my husband & I have half-jokingly said that if we ever have children we would raise them on the shows we grew up with because we can't stand some of what's out there now. :-P

I only got to watch for about an hour or so and didnt go into the chat but I am so glad to hear what a success it was. Will the link stay up so we can rewatch this at our leisure?? I was thinking it would be a great thing to do with my kiddos in the near future when theres not much else going on... love the icons too btw!! :D
