Poll: Breakfast Cereal Part IV: And The Rest

Here's our fourth and (probably) final 1980's Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal Poll, which includes a lot of odds and ends that just didn't fit in with any of the previous 3 cereal polls. Lots of stuff that relied on a gimmic of some sort, lots of stuff that lived and died completely within the 1980's (oh how I miss my Fruit Islands Cereal).

As with all our other polls, feel free to click on any title to view a commercial for that particular cereal and jog your memory a bit, then vote for as many as you see fit... remember, this is for SCIENCE! We must keep these numbers as accurate as possible!

Fan Page: Pryor's Place

I think that the sole purpose of this show is so that when all us 80's kids hit a certain age we could all go "HOLY MOLEY THEY GAVE RICHARD PRYOR A KIDS SHOW?!?!?!", shortly followed by "Why don't I remember this show?".

I have no memory of this show beyond the ads for CBS Saturday Morning I'd find in my weekly dose of comic books.

Fan Page: VIDKIDS

I made sure to include this Saturday morning show because even though I only ever saw it ONCE, it was an obsession of mine. It was a live-action musical show aimed specifically at TWEENS. Like... remember the K-Tel "Mini Pops" records?

It was like THAT, only a half-hour long and featuring just one main-stream song per episode (mixed with a few original numbers and stuff from other children's entertainers).

Fan Page: Pole Position

In my opinion, the Pole Position cartoon has the EIGHTIESEST THEME SONG OF ALL 80'S SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS. The cartoon itself generated some particularly inspired Saturday Morning Lego creations, sure, but it's that theme song that gets me every time :)

The Get-Along Gang was aggressively unobtrusive. I remember this show, but I can't remember a single episode or character name or story line or anything. And I KNOW I watched this show! It was just not very memorable, was it?
