Poll: Breakfast Cereal Part IV: And The Rest

Here's our fourth and (probably) final 1980's Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal Poll, which includes a lot of odds and ends that just didn't fit in with any of the previous 3 cereal polls. Lots of stuff that relied on a gimmic of some sort, lots of stuff that lived and died completely within the 1980's (oh how I miss my Fruit Islands Cereal).

As with all our other polls, feel free to click on any title to view a commercial for that particular cereal and jog your memory a bit, then vote for as many as you see fit... remember, this is for SCIENCE! We must keep these numbers as accurate as possible!

I STILL eat generic bagged cereal. I just finishd a bowl of the General Mills version of "Cinnamon Toast Crunch". And it was delicious. :D

I guess it's technically from the 90s, but I loved Bigg Mixx. I was so sad when they stopped making it.

Yeah, there were a lot of cereals I *thought* were 80's cereals that were actually early 90's cereals... but since this poll IS for science, after all... I had to stick with the empirical data :)

SMores Crunch was one I went out on a limb for. And Nut and Honey Crunch.

I'm pretty sure that ice cream cones cereal was disgusting, though it's hard to remember because we only had a box of it once or twice. I can tell you that it did NOT taste like ice cream.

Same thing for me as well - only one box, and that box stayed in our pantry FOREVER because no one liked it.

I seem to recall that we had the same issue with the Crispy Critters though that was because my sister had horrible taste in cereal. We'd end up with her picking that one or the Reese Peanut Butter puffs and no one else liked it thus it would sit there because she'd get sick of it and want our other cereal instead.

Also, is it just me or does the waffle-o cereal seemed like a mouth impaling waiting to happen?

Yeah well the Smores cereal did NOT taste like Smores. I was so angry and disappointed that I ended up feeding the rest I didn't eat to the birds. Let them get the sugar high, that cereal tasted gross.

I didn't get to try several of these. The only ones that actually sounded good to me were Crispix, Nut N' Honey, and Honey-Nut stuff. I remember a lot of those just tasting like crap.

I've always loved Cracklin' Oat Bran. It's one of my FAVORITE cereals! I just wish it wasn't so expensive. D:
