Not many new offerings in 1985, vote for up to 5 of your favorites!

[Poll #1770165]

NOTES
  • If anybody can find video which proves the existence of Wolf Rock TV, I'll love you forever
  • Most epic showdown we've had so far in our polls - Punky Brewster Vs. Hulk Hogan

Oh man, this one's hard. So hard. Gummi Bears, Hulk, and Punky Brewster. I normally only voted for one of the shows in the other polls, but this one, I gotta hit all 3.

Hard choices, but I ultimately picked Gummi Bears, as it did so much for modern animation and for Disney's rebirth. Without it, wouldn't have Duck Tales, which most say did lead to Disney's second revival in the late 80's/early 90's. Just wish more of GB was on YouTube. Oh, well.

However, secondary nod to the Smurfs, as per the intro of the Smurflings. Sassette was the kick in the pants the show needed, at that point.

And who can forget the Wuzzles?

Even though the shows weren't the best, the Ewok and Droids shows were the beginning of the "table scraps" we Star Wars fans had to greedily gobble up between the end of ROTJ and the beginning of Episode I. Those are the ones I liked most! ...though probably because I was crazy for Star Wars anyway.

Wuzzles and Gummi Bears got my vote, for sure. I voted for both because I couldn't pick just one between the two of them.

I picked The Gummi Bears and The Wuzzles, with the latter actually somewhat influencing my writing (i.e. animal hybrids).

Man, Wolf Rock TV has been nigh impossible to find. I haven't found even a snippet of it anywhere except in a preview special or a commercial. I can't remember now.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loved Gummi Bears. I didn't watch them in the 80s. As I was hardly alive in the 80s, but I still loved them. I've got the first volume on DVD. :)

Ask and ye shall receive - it is just the snippets from the 1984 ABC Saturday morning preview show, but it's got a couple little bits:

You know, even my memories of it may be from the Wolf Rock Power Hour, when only clips were used.

Gummi Bears all the way!

Voted for Ewoks, too, because I remember it was always a special day whenever Ewoks were on TV, even though I'm sure the show is not anywhere near as good as I remember it being..

OMFG I LOVED THE WUZZLES. That was like my favorite show ever, ever, ever, and I was in love with Bumblelion!

Had to totally go with the 'Super Friends', just because I LOVED Firestorm, and despite the whole "Darkseid wants Wonder Woman to be his woman" thing that ran through it, I got a kick out of seeing him animated. ^_^
