I was looking forward to somebody mentioning this! Even though you may already know this, it's the perfect opportunity for me to bring it up...
Firestar was the first Comic Book Character that was originally created for animation and crossed-over in to main-stream comics continuity. She was the SECOND character ever created for TV that crossed over (the first having been Bat-Girl way back in the 1960's Batman TV show).
