The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh came to us in the fall of 1988 and it was kind of epic. At the time, we kids may have thought "Oh great another cartoon for BABIES", but looking back on it I now see just how brilliant this cartoon was! THe Animation style, the storylines, the voice-acting - OMG THE VOICE ACTING!!! They had done a few new Pooh cartoons in the early 80's where the voices were just... well they *tried*, but the voices just weren't right. But with THIS cartoon, they got pitch-perfect voices for each and every character matching almost *exactly* with the original cartoons (which is NOT an easy thing to accomplish)!

I have all kinds of love for this cartoon. Share some love or dissenting opinions in the comments below, and then if you haven't already done so go ahead and vote for it in our Best of 1988/1989 Poll!

Now seriously... where there ANY kids in 1988 who were thinking "I like this Ghostbusters cartoon, but y'know what it REALLY needs? MORE WACKY SLIMER STORIES!!!" That's somewhat akin to "Gee I wish they'd give Scrappy-Doo his own cartoon"!

This was a bad time for The Ghostbusters... not only did they lose half their show to wacky mad-cap solo adventures of Slimer, but the overall quality of the show went down-hill as well. They switched animation studios, they switched writers, they switched quality in general and they lost viewers by the bucketload.

Leave your own thoughts on this problem in the comments below, and then if you're so inclined, go ahead and vote it up in our Best of 1988/1989 Poll (though really, why would you unless you're a true die-hard fan of The Ghostbusters)...

Okay folks, it's almost time once again! LESS THAN ONE MONTH TO GO TILL OUR NEXT 1980S SATURDAY MORNING HISTORICAL REENACTMENT!!!

Official post coming soon, but I figured I'd give y'all a chance to start chatting about it right now with your speculations, hopes, dreams and expectations :)

Also, somebody had suggested a live streaming video service of some sort after the last watch-along, anybody remember where that was? I figure I'll test it tonight, see if it works for our needs :)
