Poll #5: The Best of 1984
[Poll #1766532]
A few notes:
A few notes:
- More live-action shows than we've ever seen on Saturday mornings in the 80's hit this year, I think it was maybe to fill the coming void of Captain Kangaroo leaving the air :(
- Lots of the shows which have been heavily requested by our members make their debut here, including Kidd Video and Muppet Babies
- To this day I STILL sing the Pole Position theme song when driving really fast and passing other cars :)

Although, I can't say no to Snorks, either. Underwater Smurfs? I'm sold. Heh.

And the Little Puppy's Further Adventures ... yeah, that was one of my favorite shows in my childhood now completely missing. It took me years before I even found a tiny picture on the internet to let me know I hadn't just dreamed up that show. I couldn't remember the title or anything. I loved that show and its predecessor. Still do. I wish they would put it out on DVD or something *sighs*
Any new Scooby is always a plus, I've loved that dog since forever. He's easily one of my favorite cartoon characters of all time. If he'd had a cross over with The Little Puppy I think I would have died ... LOL
I love this group, and remembering the good old shows. Muppet Babies ... never missed it. I loved that show, and still do. At the time it was easily my favorite show, along with The Little Puppy's adventures ... easily.

I don't know a few of these though...
Nearly voted for Pole Position, but only because of the theme song, I never actually watched it. :D

Turbo Teen? Corny, cheesy, but damn it was fun.
Kidd Video: How 80's can you get? And yeah, the animation was plenty deranged. What a fascinating world, though.
Muppet Babies? The older I get, the more brilliant I realize this thing was. Homages to old movies, classic books, forgotten TV shows, and some catchy songs to boot. Too bad the sampling from all of the above guarantees it'll never see DVD.

As for race music, I hear Starlight Express racing music (another 80s thing) rather than Pole Position, but it's still so catchy. :D
