The Real Ghostbusters was without a doubt the most fully realized, well rounded, deeply explored "Universe" of a cartoon series that ever hit Saturday Mornings. The cartoon took the characters and the premise of the theatrical film and ran with it unlike anyone had ever seen before! They were even the first cartoon that I can think of that ever went "Meta" in a serious, completely in character and in continuity way by having an episode where the movie that everybody saw was actually made about THESE Ghostbusters! The show was, is, and always shall be sheer brilliance :)

I LOVED The Ghostbusters cartoon. I love those movies period. I love Slimer. He's one of my favorite character. And plus it has some fantastic voice actors, like uh, Lorinzo Piano, or whatever his last name is (the guy who voiced Garfield in those cartoons). And there's some other good guys in there too. It was just awesome! :D
