Happy 30th Birthday, Spidey & Friends!

Saturday, September 12th 1981, "Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends" debuted on NBC's Saturday Morning line-up! Don't you feel REALLY OLD now?
Spider-man, Ice Man and Firestar fought crime from their brownstone apartment all through the 1980's, never having to update their style or design at all. And they gave me some of my biggest Saturday morning thrills EVER when they would bring in other Marvel comics characters. "THAT'S THE X-MEN! THAT'S CAPTAIN AMERICA! OMG I CAN DIE NOW!!!"

They started almost a month after I was born, so getting there. This means I was watching this show (and remember a lot of details) when I was 6 months old.

I always wanted them to fight Doctor Doom cause he was at the end of the intro, so like Skeletor, I assumed he was their "main villain"... but they hardly ever did! lol

My favourite bits were also the ones with other super heroes. There are at least two x men episodes, right? In one of them they have a get-together and the villain takes everybody out, but Spidey comes to the rescue.
We got this at the same time as Spider-Man (8os version). I watched both religiously, but preferred this one.
