Fan Page: EWOKS

The Ewoks cartoon is the Chumba Wumba of 1980's Saturday Mornings - A guilty pleasure that few are willing to admit was as good or loved as much as it actually was.

Go ahead, try watching a few episodes today, now that The Ewoks are no longer the most hated part of the Star Wars universe (Thanks, Jar-Jar)! The Ewoks are living in a fully realized, well-thought-out world of their own with no ties to the regular Star Wars storyline. Just a great cartoon about a tribe of teddy bears living in tree houses!

C'mon, you know you love this cartoon. Show some love in the comments below and then go vote for The Ewoks in our Best Of 1985 Poll!

I'm not ashamed to admit how much I loved this show as a kid. I also had Ewok plushies, though, and I loved them in the film, so perhaps my taste is questionable? :p

I loved watching the Ewoks! But for some reason I do not remember that opening music ^_^; maybe I was up getting food or bathroom break when it first came on. I remember I also collected the comic books to the series as well. Wicket and Kneesa(? the princess Ewok) were my favs ^_^

Nuh-uh, I totally remember it! My little sister LOVED this show, and had several tie-in storybooks.

This is the best theme song!

I remember both, it switched to this one in Season 2. I liked the first season opening song better, but they were both great songs.

Oh Teebo, I will always love you...even if you changed voices between seasons.

The theme song from this occasionally pops into my head at random moments in my life... "we're the E - E - E - E - E - E-woks..." lol nostalgia!

Funny. Never had issue with the Ewoks. They were actually useful (unlike Jar-Jar, whose desire to be important ultimately damned the Republic!), and exploited one of the Empire's most boneheaded policies (underestimating/dismissing non-humans) to the fullest and most embarrassing extent. Plus, we kinda needed a counterpoint to the heavy-duty family reunion, Sith/Jedi showdown on Death Star II.

The only thing that almost caused me to walk out in disgust on a Star Wars film is when the Jedi (the alleged good guys) took control of a slave army without so much as an eyeblink or debate. It took Bioware to convince me to give the GFFA another chance.

My brother-in-law (a bigger SW fan than I'll ever be) explains the Ewoks cartoon as the bedtime stories Wickett tells his woklings. Yes, the events happened, but Daddy Ewok may be fudging a few details for the sake of small ears.
