Fan Page PANDAMONIUM!

Yet another cartoon I never actually saw but always heard about. "Pandamonium!" looks like it was a very high concept mash-up cartoon, like Masters of The Universe crossed-over in to a Scooby Doo Universe. Maybe I'm wrong. Do you personally know anything about this cartoon? Not looking for Google results or Wiki-links, just wondering if anybody has any fond memories is all... please leave them in the comments :)

And as always, if this was one of your favorites? Don't forget to go and vote for it in our Bet Cartoon of 1982 Poll!

I loved this series. I´ve seen it 1986 or 1987.
Basically the intro says everything about the series. The boy travels around the earth to gather the pyramid pieces with his sister and the 3 pandas. The 3 panda bears can merge to a super being called Papa Panda (or is it Daddy Panda in your country?) and this bear has the power to exorcise Mondragor for a while.
The concept is always the same: Blinking pyramid in a certain direction -> Mondragor hypnotizes someone -> Good ones trapped & escape -> more hypnotism -> greater danger -> Papa Panda.
Al within, I think 10 minutes?

But it got something that hooks you. And Mondragor didn´t give me nightmares, although, he was pretty scary. And the panda bears make me laugh XD

Yes they did. They acted very human, too.
Norbert was the grumpy one, Herbert was the ... light stupid one & Hubert was the coward with the red hat XD. Might be that the names were different in your country.

According to Wikipedia, in the US, the pandas' names were Chesty, Timothy, and Algernon.

Oh I loved this show so much. The panda in the hat was my favorite...I don't remember his name at the moment, but he was obviously the best one.

Everything is better with pandas. Always.

I remember that I watched and loved this one....and yet, I never understood a single darned thing that was going on in it. XD

It had pandas in it -- what more did you need to know? Heh.

I remember seeing a couple of episodes. I have the vague idea (reinforced by seeing the opening just now) that the pandas were a bit on the Three Stooges-ish side.

I really don't have that many memories of the show itself, but I do have memories of watching it at my grandparent's house. I seem to remember watching it and several syndicated cartoons in reruns on a cable station. It was probably the late 80's by this point.

I'm fairly certain you're correct. I loved at least half the stuff they ran.
