NBCUniversal Taps Lion Forge Comics to Develop Digital Comic Books Based on Beloved 80s TV Shows

TL;DR The folks at Lions Forge Comics are making comic books featuring Punky Brewster, Knight Rider, Airwolf, Miami Vice and Saved By The Bell. This could be a great door-opener for bringing back several other beloved properties of the 80's as well, comics having always been a great gateway in to the field of animation.

So in the tradition of Punky Brewster, Laverne & Shirley, Fonz, Mork & Mindy, etc... what beloved 80's property would YOU like to see brought to comics and/or cartoons?

My votes are for Silver Spoons (it would be kind of like a scaled-down Richie Rich), The Edison Twins (a scientific Sherlock Holmes of the 80's) and/or The Greatest American Hero (there's more stories in that concept, I just know it!)

Oh, I was wondering if maybe next time I come by, maybe I could borrow some comics? I have been heavily into Marvel, but I've distinctly ignored DC for a while now. I liked some of the JLA stuff, a little Wonder Woman here and there over time, Batman, a little Nightwing... I forget just what else I enjoyed of the DC comics I've read. It's been so long and many of the old writers have probably moved on. I would like to read a few shorter recent (past five years or so) storylines to get an idea of what I like again. A small sampling. If I can find them, I could lend you the All-New X-Men ones I have in return. I have 1-6. I have a bunch of Runaways TPs as well, but not the first couple of TPs. Joss Whedon stepped in and did some of the writing for it. Excellent stuff. I heard they're considering it for a movie.

Ooh, good to know. I should actually, you know, GO to the library now and again. It's been a while since I've checked out anything but an ebook, and the last time I set foot in a library was at Crossroads when I got my library card. I used to spend SO MUCH TIME in libraries. I'm still reading lots of books, but there's something about a library that just feels...right. Well, the Crossroads one didn't quite have that library feel to me, but most others do.

I've been primarily reading Marvel and some independent stuff for a while now. I have the Marvel Unlimited subscription, which turned out to be awesome, with more content than I could ever possibly read. But I can't read on my tablet because it's too old for the app, so I have to do it at my PC or on my laptop. I tried it on my phone, but the software just released for the Android is too buggy. I suspect we'll see an update soon.

Yeah, it's more of a library annex. They have some books & videos, provide basic library services, and you can pick up hold items there. But it still counts as the last one I was in. ^^;;
