1980's Saturday Morning Preservation & Recreation Society FILLER POST!

My niece is graduating from High School this morning (SATURDAY MORNING GRADUATION WTF?!?!) so I won't have time for a REAL post to this community, so I figured I'd open it up for something fun and interactive if you're up to the task :)
WHAT WAS/IS YOUR CHILDHOOD SATURDAY MORNING RITUAL?
Although my *dream* wa to just have a great big bowl of cereal like good ol' Charle Phoenix does in the picture above, what I *usually* did was quietly sneak out to the living room with my suitcase full of Legos and turn on the TV. TV took a good 5 minutes to warm up, which was just enough time to go get my first bowl of cereal. In an hour or two, when we hit "The Dead Spot" of cartoons (the half-hour when nothing of interest was on), I'd go and make myself a PROPER breakfast, usually S.O.S. (hamburger gravy on toast - been cooking it unsupervised since I was 7). At about 10 or 10:30 my parents would wake up and tell me to stop making so much noise with my Legos and/or to turn down the TV (they worked late as bartenders), and then by noon the whole family was ready to take on the day :)
Your turn!

I used to wake up really early and watch cartoons from 7am onwards or even earlier, till my mum woke up one day and told me I wasn't allowed to watch TV before 8am anymore because too much telly is bad for you. Both I and my school friends had the habit of pretty much watching Saturday telly from 8am to 4pm or at least until lunch time, either alone or together, because there was so much good stuff on.
You'd start with the Hanna Barbera stuff, then there'd by Spidey etc. later, Full House and Fresh Prince around lunch time and Disney Club in the afternoon.
(we did spend time outside, too, just not so much on Saturdays..)
I still snuck into the lounge earlier than 8am on some days, but I had to be reaaaally quiet..

Went to the American sweets shop in town with my friend yesterday and got myself a portion of fruit loops. :D Haven't had those for years.

Some saturdays I'd get up as early as 6 or 6:30 to start watching things then, but that was the late 80's/early 90's and saturday morning cartoons had turned into a 6:30-Noon block of awesome.
I'd also tape cartoons I really liked, though that was more early 90's. (X-Men, Exo-Squad)
