Don't get me wrong... I'm a HUGE FAN of Tom & Jerry! But the Tom & Jerry Comedy Show was... well it was just terrible :(

If it were the 70's-produced Fat Albert, then it could reasonably deserve votes. The 80's-produced Fat Albert wasn't nearly as good.

Tom and Jerry for me. Again, didn't watch many of those. Watched Bugs Bunny, but I think it was a pre-80s version.

The Bugs Bunny cartoons on Saturday Mornings in the 80's (and all Looney Tunes for that matter, up till the advent of The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries in 1995) were simple re-bundlings of the enormous Warner Brothers Animation Archives. All though it wa 1980, the newest cartoon you would see on these shows was animated way back in the 1960's.

The Tom & Jerry Comedy Show, though... *shudder*.

It was a toss up for me between Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny/ Road Runner. Bug Bunny Road Runner won out :)by only by a fraction.

See, this is why I think people are voting for the *character* instead of the show. This was the darkest moment in Tom & Jerry history - this wa the 1980's *clean* version of Tom & Jerry from Filmation, not the classic short cartoons from MGM or even Hanna-Barbera. These cartoons were *so bad*, I can't even find an example of them on-line!

You're probably right on some level but I do remember some funny and violent moments in the clean versions as well. At the same time it's true nothing beat the older versions of the really violent, truly funny Tom and Jerry cartoons.
