When we founded this community a year ago, we thought we'd be able to AT LEAST do a Saturday Morning Watch-Along every year on the first Saturday in September - the traditional debut of all 1980's Saturday Morning cartoons. OUr first watch-along was a rousing success, and our second watch-along just a few months later went swimmingly well!

However, GROWN-UP LIFE has gotten in the way of us being able to carry that momentum.

So when aurora77 and I started talking about the next Watch-Along, we found that despite a strong desire to have another Watch-Along on the proper date of Saturday, September 8th - Reality dictated that this just could not happen. Or at the very least neither one of us would be able to participate and all y'all would be forced to watch the stream by yourselves.

And so we went through our schedules, compared our availability, looked at what else was going on, and in the end... we decided on a date that will allow us to at least HAVE a Watch-Along in 2012 before the year is over.

Meanwhile... we *have* been working on a the next watch-along off-and-on over the past several months, and there's a definite "Theme" to the cartoons we have picked... anyone care to guess what that theme is? Or maybe you have a wish for what the theme will be... who knows? Leave a comment, ANY COMMENT just to let us know that you're still out there and interested, okay? Thanks :)

YAY! Hopefully now that my daughter will be going to full-day school (instead of her half-day kindergarten like last year) I'll be able to breathe even MORE life in to this dusty old husk! I'm thus far committed to at least one post per week so HOORAY!!!

First off: Hooray that we're going to be together and watching cartoons in our jammies again!! Next: Boo on adulthood forcing us to wait until December.

And since I've decided to bring a friend of mine (who is not part of the community here...yet) into the fold, I'm doing a little mini marathon with her on the 1st of September. Cereal, jammies and cartoons will be done and I'm going to be going through our archives here to look for stuff either me and and said friend love or (more importantly) what we never saw before. My friend is intrigued by this idea so I should have her fully addicted and ready to chat it up with us by the time December rolls around.

And my guess on the theme of the cartoons to come is *drumroll*: ERMAHGERD SNUHR!!!! (For those of you unfamiliar with ERMAHGERD-lish that would be "Oh my god, snow!!")

Oooh, do share with them! I love to hear it's getting shared with others. The watchalong vids are still available. Occasionally, I put them on in the background while I'm working or cleaning. :)

I didn't know that the watch-along vids were still available! That makes my life so much easier. So much less googling and searching in my near future!!! :D And yes, I fully intend to introduce my friend to her new cartoon addiction.

Apple tv lets you stream from your phone/pad, so you find the link on your mobile then watch. It's very cool.
