First of all, did anyone else ever see the similarity between Master Blaster and Boss Hogg from The Dukes Of Hazzard?
And mentioning Robbie Rist reminded me of something I saw elsewhere online about two or three years ago. Someone had posted the opening sequence of Big John, Little John, a Saturday morning series that Rist had done a few years prior to Kidd Video. In that series, Rist and Herb Edelman played the 12-year-old and 40-year-old versions of the same person.
Anyway, when I saw the blog post, I did a little checking, and I was kind of surprised that at the time of the post, Rist was now a couple of years older than what Edelman had been at the time that BJ,LJ was made. Believe it or not, he's now 49.
