July 4th like a kid again!
My son is camping with his Aunt and cousins, my husband and I are off tomorrow, I have big plans!!
Declaring tomorrow "Live like a Kid again" day. So far on my list, I have
1. Eating Lucky Charms for breakfast
2. Having a water balloon fight with my husband
3. Eating popsicles till I burst
4. Having peanut butter sandwiches with no crust for lunch
5. Blowing bubbles outside
6. drinking kool aid instead of coffee
7. Watching cartoons when it's too hot outside (thank god for youtube)
8. Roasting marshmallows after supper
Any other ideas?

1) I want to see how this would be any different from any other day :P
2) I needed a good reminder that this community still exists! I keep getting wrapped-up in other on-line projects and forget that we started this up as a kind of closed-content community and I *need* to make time for helping make the next watch-along!
So thanks!

Have a pillow fight.
Play a kids board game or card game.
Play a ball game and make up the rules as you go. A la Calvinball. See this reference and this example.)
Climb a tree and read a book in it.
Play tag and/or hide-and-go-seek.
Slide down hills on big pieces of cardboard.
Go to the park and play on on the swings and jungle gym.
Wear brightly-colored, fun clothes.

You can try Netflix streaming for old cartoons too - they have quite a few.
Other ideas:
Silly String
Tuna Casserole and cakes from an easy bake oven for dinner
A good sword fight with nerf swords
Video games

Exactly as i did in my childhood, tomorrow I will spend the day and night at an elderly relative's house that smells like dogs, and I'll wish I could be where the COOL stuff is happening. Then I'll beg for some money so I can go buy fireworks, which will make all the older folks go on their rants about how much they hate fireworks and loud noises and fire. Then I'll sulk away, find a corner where I can put on my headphones and crank all the "Punk Rock" I can handle - Genesis, Huey Lewis, Crowded House... you know, PUNK ROCK :)

Then I'll play some video games for a bit.
At some point, I'll build a fort with blankets, pillows, and chairs and read inside of it.
I also just might have to challenge somebody to a game of some sort and play while watching Goonies in the background.
Maybe I'll go run around in the field out back with my arms out and pretend I'm an airplane. Ooh, and maybe some somersaults and rolling down the hill. :D

I was more of a tmnt girl anyway but that usually didn't require as many fun props.
- Play grounders or freeze tag (or Red Rover, "What time is it Mr. Wolf", capture the flag...etc)
- Hopscotch
- Chalk drawings
- Battleship/Stratego
- Mac & Cheese
- Jump rope
- Ghost stories
- Where in the world is carmen sandiego, Number Munchers, super solvers!
Ontario you say?
- Watch some Today's Special, under the umbrella tree, fred penner's place, Friendly Giant, Mr. Dress Up (lol, I hated almost all these shows at one point or another but part of childhood)
