Oh, absolutely! Most of the storebought ones were pretty crap. I think they put the picture/text on them for the grown-ups.
Kid: "Trick or treat!"
Adult: "Oh, what a cute little..." *leans forward, squinting in the porch light* "...Katra you are."
Most of the grown-ups didn't know a good third of kids' costumes without help, I bet.
